Captain Coconuts

Captain Coconuts is a small hotel and hostel on Jl. Sunset, on the quieter west side of Gili Air and a short walk from the sunset beaches. It offers both private rooms and dorm beds, and has a 4.7 Google rating from around 400 reviews, which is high for budget accommodation on the island.

The dorms are open-sided bamboo structures with suspended beds and mosquito nets, so you sleep close to the garden rather than in a closed room. Private rooms are available for couples who want more comfort. There is a pool in the middle of the grounds and a healthy café serving smoothie bowls, salads, coffee and plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian dishes. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is social without being a party hostel.
