Manta Dive Gili Air

Manta Dive Gili Air has been running for more than ten years and was a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice winner every year from 2015 to 2019. It is the Gili Air sister of the long-established Manta Dive on Gili Trawangan, and you do not have to be a diver to stay there.

Unusually, it teaches both SSI and PADI. Courses run from Introduction Dives and Scuba Diver through Open Water, Advanced, Rescue and specialties to Divemaster and instructor level. Fun dives visit more than 25 sites around the three islands, from Han's Reef, Shark Point and Turtle Heaven to the Bounty wreck and Meno Wall, and the centre supports local reef restoration.

Rooms include traditional bungalows, garden rooms and deluxe bungalows, so it works well for dive-and-stay trips. The office opens 08:00–18:00, seven days a week. Contact the team through the website or Instagram to book. Sites around Gili Air tend to be gentler than the Trawangan drift dives, which makes the island a comfortable place to train.
