Oceans 5 Dive

Oceans 5 is an SSI Instructor Training Center and dive resort close to the harbour on Gili Air, inside the Gili Matra Marine Park. It keeps groups small, with a maximum of four certified divers per guide, organised by experience and interests.

The teaching approach is a selling point: skills are taught while neutrally buoyant rather than kneeling on the reef, and the aim is to make divers comfortable and independent rather than just certified. Courses run from introduction dives and kids' programmes through Open Water, Advanced, Rescue and specialties to Divemaster and the full instructor ladder. Conservation is built in, with weekly beach clean-ups, reef clean-ups and Shark Ecology and Perfect Buoyancy specialties.

Accommodation on site includes sea-view pool bungalows, garden rooms, quiet garden bungalows and a family pool bungalow for five or six people, which makes dive-and-stay packages easy. Airport pick-ups to Bangsal harbour can be arranged. Book by WhatsApp or through the website.
