The Beach House BBQ

The Beach House is a long-running beachfront restaurant on the east coast, south of the harbour, attached to the Beach House Resort. It is best known for its evening seafood barbecue: the day's catch is laid out on ice and you choose your fish, prawns, squid or lobster, then pick a sauce such as garlic butter. Meat lovers can order steaks, kebabs and other grilled cuts.

The restaurant runs all day, with breakfast and lunch menus, tapas and Indonesian dishes such as nasi campur. In the evening the tables on the sand fill up, there is often live music and the cocktail list gets plenty of use. Views across to Lombok and Gili Meno are lovely at dusk.

It opens daily from 07:00 to 23:00. Prices are higher than the night-market grills, reflecting the setting and service; check the price of seafood by weight before ordering. Reservations can be made by WhatsApp or email.
