Hotel Ombak Sunset

Hotel Ombak Sunset is on the secluded west coast of Gili Trawangan, well away from the harbour and nightlife. In return for the distance you get some of the island's best sunsets, with the sun dropping behind Mount Agung on Bali across the strait.

The centrepiece is a 40-metre swimming pool with a jacuzzi. Rooms run from Deluxe Terrace Rooms (listed from about IDR 1,000,000 a night) through Island and Sunset Bungalows with carved-wood ceilings and entrances, up to one- and two-bedroom Akoya pool villas (from about IDR 2,700,000 and 3,700,000). There is a spa, a restaurant, tennis and padel courts, and beach wedding packages.

The hotel is part of the Ombak group, which also runs Vila Ombak near the harbour, and can arrange transport across the island. You will want a bicycle or a cidomo to reach the main strip.
