Regina Pizzeria

Regina Pizzeria is the island's best-known pizza place, set back from the beach on Jl. Ikan Hiu, a couple of minutes' walk from the harbour. The wood-fired oven runs all evening and the pizzas are thin-based and properly blistered, with a long list of toppings and a few pasta dishes alongside. It is consistently one of the highest-rated restaurants on Gili Trawangan, with thousands of reviews.

The space is a large, casual covered garden with long tables, which suits groups and families. Staff move quickly, but it fills up fast and there is often a queue around 19:00–20:00. If you would rather not wait, come shortly after opening or order a takeaway to eat on the beach.

Regina opens for dinner only, daily from 17:00 to 22:30. Prices are moderate by island standards, and a pizza is usually enough for one hungry person. Stick to the pizzas, which are what people come back for; reviews of the seafood pasta are more mixed.
