Scallywags Seafood Bar & Grill

Scallywags Seafood Bar & Grill is part of the Scallywags resort on Gili Trawangan's southern shoreline, looking across to Mount Rinjani and the Lombok coast. It is best known for its evening barbecue, where you choose from a display of the day's seafood (prawns, lobster and fish) alongside imported steaks, ribs and a salad bar.

The daytime menu is broad and reasonably priced for the island. At the time of writing, starters were around Rp 30,000–60,000, burgers about Rp 98,000, and mains such as snapper steak, tuna pepper steak or teriyaki mahi mahi around Rp 109,000, along with pastas and curries. The bar serves wine and cocktails.

Tables are right on the beach, and it gets busy in the evening during high season, so arrive early or ask the resort about booking. It is a short walk or bike ride south from the harbour. Prices are per item from the barbecue display, so ask for the weight and price of lobster or large fish before it goes on the grill.
