Trawangan Dive

Trawangan Dive was Lombok's first PADI Career Development Centre, the highest facility rating PADI awards, and the first dive centre in the region to receive the PADI Green Star Award for conservation work. It sits on the main beach road on the east side of Gili Trawangan, a short walk from the harbour.

Courses run from Discover Scuba and Open Water through Divemaster and the Instructor Development Course, and the centre is one of the few on the Gilis offering a full TDI technical programme, including sidemount, decompression and closed-circuit rebreather training. There is also an eco strand, with reef restoration and Ocean Quest coral propagation courses. Fun dives visit the usual Gili sites, where turtles, reef sharks and big schools of fish are regular sightings in water that averages around 28°C.

If you are doing a PADI course, you can complete the theory through eLearning before you arrive and spend your island time in the water. The centre has its own accommodation and the Fat Cats restaurant on site. Book by WhatsApp or email, ideally a day or two ahead in high season.
