El Bazar

El Bazar is a Mediterranean restaurant and bar on Jl. Raya Kuta, rated 4.7 from more than 3,000 Google reviews. The menu mixes Spanish, Moroccan and southern French influences: mezze, grilled octopus with walnut romesco, Sumbawa wild prawns, Flores oysters, slow-grilled short rib and steaks, with a strong wine list.

The renovated space is split into several moods, from a retro terrace and a mid-century salon to a tiki bar, an open kitchen and a floor-to-ceiling wine cellar that guests are invited to browse when choosing a bottle. It suits a long dinner with friends or a date night rather than a quick bite.

It opens for the evening only, from 4pm to 11pm daily, so it also works for sunset drinks before dinner. Reservations are taken up to 5pm via the website or WhatsApp; walk-ins are welcome, but book ahead on weekends and in the July–August peak.
