Elamu brings home-style Greek cooking to Kuta, in a white-and-blue house with a shaded patio under mango trees. The kitchen is built on a mother's family recipes, and the place is designed for hanging out from breakfast through to late evening.
Breakfast covers sourdough toast with salmon and avocado, eggs Benedict and Greek pastries. Lunch and dinner bring moussaka, pita souvlaki, gyros, Greek salad, lentil soup, mixed dip platters with tzatziki and grilled seafood, while desserts include baklava rolls and filo-wrapped fried halloumi with honey. Cocktails, infused spirits, fresh juices and espresso drinks fill the drinks list.
Opening hours are 07:00 to 23:00 daily. Elamu also hosts a Sunday brunch, buffets for celebrations (minimum 20 guests) and occasional yoga and Pilates sessions. Book a table through the website or WhatsApp in high season. Travel bloggers frequently name it among the best restaurants in Kuta, and the staff are noted for warm service.
Message ahead in peak season: July, August and the Christmas holidays fill up fast.
