La Cabaña at Sikara

La Cabaña is the all-day restaurant of the Sikara Lombok Hotel on Jl. Mawun, overlooking the hotel pool. Its centrepiece is a large bespoke artwork inspired by the traditional alang-alang thatched roofs of Lombok, made from bamboo, natural wood and handwoven lighting.

The menu is Spanish-led: signature paellas (the seafood paella with prawns and clams is the one most people order), patatas bravas, huevos rotos and other tapas, alongside Indonesian classics such as nasi goreng given a modern touch. Prawns in chilli and garlic oil get particular praise. Breakfast is à la carte, and signature cocktails are served at sunset.

It is open to outside guests from 07:00 to 22:00 daily. Prices are higher than in town, but reviewers feel the quality justifies it. Book a table through the hotel website, by WhatsApp or by phone, especially for paella at dinner, as it is cooked to order. It is about five minutes by scooter from central Kuta.
