Loka Café

Loka Café is the kitchen of Loka Lombok, a gym, recovery centre and fitness village in Kuta. You do not need to train there to eat; the covered café, with string lights, long tables and screens, is open to everyone and is a favourite with surfers and remote workers.

The menu is built around clean, nutritionist-designed food: salads, Buddha bowls, smoothie bowls, eggs on sourdough, protein cookies and protein shakes. You can build your own bowl or take the good-value bowl of the day with a kombucha. Drinks include specialty coffee, cortados, kombucha and fresh coconut water. The Sunday BBQ, with skewers, grilled vegetables and corn on the cob, is good value.

It opens daily from 07:00 to 22:00. There are plenty of charging sockets, so it works for a laptop session. After eating you can book the public sauna and ice bath next door. Prices are low for the portion size, and staff are consistently praised.
