LoTide Surf Camp is a dorm-based surf hostel on Jl. Sawe-Batu Riti, a quiet lane off Jl. Raya Kuta about ten minutes' walk from the centre of Kuta. The same team runs a second camp at Uluwatu in Bali, and the Lombok site is built around a pool, a covered bar and lounge area and air-conditioned dorms with curtained bunks.
The main draw is the surf programme: daily guiding and lessons for beginners through to experienced surfers, with trips to the south coast breaks around Kuta and Gerupuk. Evenings are sociable, with shared dinners, drinks and organised nights out, so it suits people travelling alone who want company in and out of the water. Check-in is limited to guests aged 18 to 40, and children are not accepted.
It holds a 4.5 rating from almost 400 Google reviews, with staff singled out for praise; a few recent reviews mention wear and tear and cleanliness issues in the older dorms, so check the latest feedback before booking a long stay. Book through Hostelworld or the camp's own booking page, or message the team on WhatsApp to arrange surf packages.
Message ahead in peak season: July, August and the Christmas holidays fill up fast.
