NOHI is a two-storey restaurant and pastry café on Jl. Mawun, just west of the town centre, with a shaded terrace upstairs looking out over the green hills. It is popular with both residents and visitors and stays open far later than most Kuta cafés.
Breakfast is the strong suit: shakshuka served with a croissant, the Kuta Bowl, banana pancakes, granola, oatmeal and avocado toast, with well-made cappuccinos. The pastry counter is known for its cookies (the NOHI cookie is the one to try). Later in the day there are Western mains such as pasta, salads and burgers, and weekly specials including Pasta Tuesdays and Burger Saturdays offer good value.
Opening hours are 07:00 to 23:15 every day, so it is a reliable option for a late dinner or dessert after other places have closed. Portions are generous and prices moderate. It is about five minutes by scooter from the main road; there is parking in front.
Message ahead in peak season: July, August and the Christmas holidays fill up fast.
