Rimba Bungalow is a small set of bungalows off Jl. Raya Kuta, on the northern edge of Kuta and surrounded by trees and gardens. The name means "jungle" in Indonesian, and the setting is noticeably quieter and greener than the town centre, about two kilometres to the south.

The bungalows are simple and clean: whitewashed walls under thatched or tiled roofs, a four-poster bed with a mosquito net, a private bathroom with a stone basin, and a front terrace with a hammock or chairs looking onto the lawn. It is a low-key place to sleep rather than a resort, with no pool or restaurant on site.

Guests rate it 4.5 on Google, praising the calm location and the helpful people who run it. You will need a scooter to reach the beaches, cafés and surf spots. Contact them directly by phone or WhatsApp to check availability and rates.

Message ahead in peak season: July, August and the Christmas holidays fill up fast.
