Treehouse Restaurant & Bar

Treehouse is a large open-air restaurant and bar set above street level in the centre of Kuta. Wooden decks, swing seats and beanbags give it a relaxed feel, and there is billiards and table football for groups. By day it is calm and family-friendly; in the evening it becomes one of the town's more sociable dinner spots.

Food is European and Indonesian comfort cooking in generous portions: fish and chips, schnitzel, sirloin steak, nachos, nasi goreng and the catch of the day. It is best known for its steak night, with a 250 g tenderloin served with unlimited potato wedges, mash and vegetables at a good price, plus lunch specials. The bar stocks imported and local drinks, with a generous cocktail happy hour and a shisha menu.

It opens daily from noon to 23:30. You can book a table through the website or WhatsApp, which is worth doing on steak nights. It is an easy walk from most central guesthouses.
