Yeni's Local Food

Yeni's Local Food is a newer family warung in Kuta that has quickly built a reputation through word of mouth. It has a modern open-sided dining area with wooden tables and plants, but the cooking is homely and everything is made to order by Yeni and her family.

The menu sticks to Indonesian classics: gado-gado with peanut sauce, nasi goreng and mie goreng topped with a fried egg, a seafood tom yum-style soup, and grilled or fried chicken with rice. Ask for the special house sambal, which regulars rate as the best part of the meal. Prices are low for the quality and the portions are fair.

It is open daily from 11am to 9:30pm, so it works for both lunch and dinner. Service is warm and personal, and many visitors come back several nights running to work through the menu. Expect a short wait at busy times as dishes are cooked fresh. Contact is by phone or WhatsApp.
