Em Adventure

Em Adventure is one of the few established operators based on the Sembalun side of Mount Rinjani, in East Lombok. It has run Rinjani treks since 2005 and offers both private and shared departures, with its own guides, porters, camping equipment and meals.

Sembalun is the usual starting point for the summit, so the company's core products are the one-day and two-day summit treks, three- and four-day summit-and-lake routes, and the Sembalun-to-Torean traverse. It also runs Senaru crater rim treks, a second-summit route from Tetebatu, and shorter sunrise hikes up Pergasingan Hill and Gunung Anak Dara, which are good options if you want the views without the full climb.

The best months are April to November; trails close from January to March. Starting in Sembalun means a cooler, higher base (around 1,100 m), so bring warm layers for the first night.
