La Chill has been one of Senggigi's best-known sunset spots since 2013. It sits directly on the beach along the Batu Bolong stretch of Jl. Raya Senggigi, with colourful beanbags and umbrellas set out on the sand and lanterns strung through the trees once the light fades.
The draw is the view west across the Lombok Strait to Bali and Mount Agung, paired with cold beer, fruity cocktails such as the watermelon specials, and a menu of seafood, grills and Indonesian staples. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, so it also works as a lazy daytime stop, but the crowd builds from late afternoon. It holds a Google rating of 4.4 from more than 2,400 reviews.
Opening hours are from late morning until midnight daily. Arrive by around 17:30 to secure a beanbag in the front row for sunset. Reservations and directions are handled through the bar's website and WhatsApp, and it is within walking distance of most central Senggigi hotels.
Message ahead in peak season: July, August and the Christmas holidays fill up fast.
