Qerang Exquisite Seafood & Steaks

Qerang is the evening restaurant at Qunci Villas on Mangsit Beach, focused on fresh seafood and quality steaks. Tables sit around a candlelit reflecting pond that leads the eye out to the Lombok Strait, and beachfront seating is available for those who want the sound of the waves.

Diners rate the steaks highly for being cooked accurately, and the seafood, risotto and pasta also get strong reviews; the tiramisu is the dessert people talk about. The atmosphere is refined but not stiff, and service is attentive. Pre-dinner drinks at the bar are a good way to catch the sunset first. It is pricier than most places in Senggigi, but it is one of the area's better options for a special occasion.

Qerang opens from 16:00 to 23:00 and welcomes non-residents. Book ahead for beachfront tables, especially in high season. Qunci also runs Quali for Indonesian food, NooQ for Italian and the Qoral beach bar, so guests can combine an aperitif at one with dinner at another. Mangsit is about five minutes' drive north of central Senggigi.
