The Warung is a small, inexpensive Indonesian restaurant in the south of Gili Meno, not far from the harbour and the southern beaches. It has a 4.6 Google rating from more than 120 reviews and is a useful stop for a quick, cheap meal.
The menu covers Indonesian staples: nasi goreng, mie goreng, nasi campur, stir-fried chicken and vegetables, and banana or plain pancakes for breakfast or pudding. Plates come with rice, cucumber and crackers, and prices are among the lowest on the island. It is unfussy, with simple tables and quick service.
It opens daily from 08:00 until midnight, later than most places on Gili Meno, so it is a reliable option after an evening at the beach. It is a short walk from the harbour, which makes it convenient while waiting for a boat. Cash is the easiest way to pay, and portions are big enough that one main is usually plenty.
Message ahead in peak season: July, August and the Christmas holidays fill up fast.
