Aqia Warung

Aqia Warung is a small beachside kitchen on the sand at Selong Belanak, run alongside the well-reviewed Aqia Surf school. It has a perfect 5.0 Google rating from around 90 reviews, which is rare for a beach warung, and many visitors call it the best value meal on the bay.

The menu is short and simple. Pineapple fried rice is the signature dish, served in a pineapple, and grilled chicken with rice, chicken satay, mie goreng and grilled fish all get praise for being fresh and nicely presented. Two mains and a couple of soft drinks can come to around Rp 115,000.

It opens daily from 07:00 to 20:00 and has beach chairs, so you can eat and then settle in on the sand. Popular dishes can sell out, so come early for lunch. Combine it with a surf lesson next door.
