Bila Surf School

Bila Surf School is a locally run school on the beach at Selong Belanak, with a beachfront café and a big blue sign listing its services: surf lessons, board rental, surf trips, fishing trips and boat trips. The instructors teach everyone from young children to adults.

Beginner lessons are listed at IDR 300,000 per person per hour, and intermediate coaching, which covers paddling, wave selection, timing and turning, at IDR 700,000 per person. Boards can be rented for IDR 100,000 for two hours. For surfers ready to move on from Selong Belanak's gentle waves, the school runs trips to bigger breaks along the south coast, such as Mawun, Semeti and Rowok, as well as fishing trips by boat.
