Black Fin Surf School

Black Fin Surf School, also signed as Black Fin Surf Academy, is a beachfront school on Selong Belanak led by Sandi, who grew up in the village and has been teaching surfing for more than fifteen years. The small team of local instructors is known for keeping lessons relaxed and fun.

Beginners learn in the bay's gentle, consistent waves, starting with board handling and pop-ups on the sand. More experienced surfers can book coaching to work on technique, and surf trips to other south coast breaks can be arranged on request. Published prices for one-to-one lessons are IDR 250,000 for one hour or IDR 350,000 for two hours, including board rental, a rash vest or wetsuit and a water break; group and multi-lesson rates are available on request.
