Driftwood is a small, owner-run resort on the main Selong Belanak to Kuta road. Its bungalows take their shape from traditional Sasak rice barns, with granary-style roofs built from local wood, but inside they have air conditioning and modern bathrooms. The bungalows sit around a garden, a swimming pool and a shared lounge with a bar.
The on-site Driftwood Café is a draw in its own right: the owners describe themselves as coffee enthusiasts and make its own smoothies, sauces and jams, and serves breakfast and brunch to non-guests as well (daily 08:00–14:00). Guests on Booking.com rate the property around 9.2, often praising the breakfast and the quiet setting.
The beach is roughly a ten-minute walk, and the resort can help arrange surf lessons, scooter hire and day trips to the neighbouring bays. It is a good base for couples and surfers who want a calm, comfortable stay at a moderate price. Book through the website or WhatsApp.
Message ahead in peak season: July, August and the Christmas holidays fill up fast.
