Mango Selong, also known as Mango Lodge, is a mid-sized hotel about 700 metres from Selong Belanak Beach. It is one of the better-value options in the village: rooms are notably spacious, with huge bathrooms, plenty of storage, strong air conditioning and smart TVs, and they look over a long pool set in a garden.
The hotel changed management recently and reopened as accommodation only; its rooftop restaurant was closed at the time of research, though breakfast is still included. Pool towels can be taken to the beach, and staff are described as friendly and accommodating. Several cafés and warungs, including Naughty Surfer and Warung Corner, are within a short walk.
Some guests mention signs of wear and patchy maintenance, so set expectations accordingly. It has a 4.6 Google rating from almost 400 reviews and around 8.7 on Booking.com. Book via Booking.com or by phone.
Message ahead in peak season: July, August and the Christmas holidays fill up fast.
