Kembang Cooking Class is a small family-run cooking experience in Tetebatu, taught in English under an open-sided bamboo shelter in a village garden. Recent guests (March and August 2026) rate it 5.0 and mention the relaxed atmosphere and the cooking to music.
The session lasts about four hours. It starts with gathering fresh herbs, vegetables and spices from the garden and the surrounding countryside, then moves on to three dishes: gado-gado with homemade peanut sauce, nasi goreng, and olah-olah, a traditional Lombok vegetable dish in coconut-milk sauce. You eat everything you cook at the end. A separate vegetable-focused class is also offered.
Start times are flexible between 09:00 and 20:00. Let the hosts know your preferred slot after booking. Wear closed shoes for the herb-gathering walk. Prices start from about £19 per person, and private groups are welcome. Book through Airbnb Experiences.
Message ahead in peak season: July, August and the Christmas holidays fill up fast.
