Warung Harapan sits at the edge of the paddy fields in Dusun Lingkung Leuk, at the quieter southern end of Tetebatu. Tables look straight out over the rice and the sound of irrigation water running past adds to the calm. It has a perfect 5.0 score on Google from nearly 200 reviews.
The menu mixes Indonesian main dishes with snacks such as spring rolls, fried banana and fruit platters, plus coffee, tea and fresh juices. Reviewers comment on the clean, carefully presented food and the friendly service, and several homestay owners nearby send their guests here. It is also a pleasant stop for a coffee and snack mid-way through a walk.
Opening hours are 10:00 to 22:00, closed on Wednesdays. Prices are low, and takeaway is available. It is about a ten-minute scooter ride south of the main Tetebatu crossroads. It is a good choice if you are staying at one of the homestays at the southern end of the village and do not want to ride into the centre after dark.
Message ahead in peak season: July, August and the Christmas holidays fill up fast.
